Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring…except me and my mum chatting about Santa Claus, Krampus and Belsnickel.
What’s happening gang?!
We’re kicking off the second season with a festive special and we’ve loaded up the sleigh with a large collection of gifts. Inside our bag of yuletide topics we have plenty of seasonal memories from childhood. Old socks stuffed with nuts and tangerines. Dressing gowns. Santa Claus deniers. The fear of having my picture taken with Father Christmas. The ideology of Christmas shoes. Teenage mutant ninja turtle toys and a typewriter.
As an added bonus, I also introduce my mum to some possible alternatives to Santa, courtesy of Germanic folklore.
Whatever you’re celebrating something or not at this time of year, we wan’t to send love and good thoughts to you and yours.

NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE
Next week is our last episode of this very turbulent, and honestly, for the most part, shitty year. But as we kick 2020 out the door, we’re not lamenting th awful. Oh no! We’re going out on a high. I asked a number of previous guests from Season 1 to return and provide 2 things they’ve found this year which have brought them joy. That’s right, we’re making a 2020 time capsule and it’s only going to be filled with good things.
Before we close the hatch and put it in the ground, I want you guys to fill the remaining space. What 2 things have shone a bright light in the darkness for YOU this year? It doesn’t have to be a tangible, tactile item. It can be a feeling. A memory. A realisation. The only rule is it has to be something you’ve discovered this year.
