Alright lads, this week we're turning off the lights and diving into my subconscious.
Like many people navigating their way through all the uncertainty that 2020 has thrown our way, my sleep patterns have been a little off… to say the least. Unconventional routines, insomnia and some downright weird dreams have been pretty common this year.
So, for these reasons along with others, I’ve been keeping a dream journal to document my night time visions.
Now I’m cracking it open and with the help of a dream dictionary, I’m hoping to get a better understanding of what’s going on inside my head.
Missing siblings in Northern Africa. Teenage goths. Time loops and shapeshifting spiders. Secret agents and nightclub kidnappings. Curly haired gamblers. Red wine and a pint of bitter with Prince Harry. All of this and so much more make up for the nocturnal kaleidoscope that has become my dream journal.
In this episode we’re breaking down the imagery and looking at the definitions, interpretations, symbolism and psychology of my dreams. So get comfy, turn off the light and take a dive into the inner workings of my brain.
What’s your take on dream meanings and definitions? Is it something you believe in? Is it something you’ve researched? If so what have you found on your journey thus far?
More specifically, do you yourself have a dream journal or diary? If so, do the dreams you record correlate to things happening in your waking life? Is your waking life influencing your dreams directly.
If you’ve had any standout or reoccurring dreams of late, I’d love to know what they are
